Schoolboys blamed for nude romp at cinema

The Full Monty was not on the bill at Roseville Cinemas but that is what movie patrons saw when 40 naked schoolboys romped through recently during an end-of-year prank.
Year 12 students from Barker College at Hornsby have been blamed but the school is unable to confirm or deny their involvement because it is locked in a legal wrangle with the cinema.
The co-owner of the cinema, Lisa van Pinxteren, said she referred the incident to her lawyers because Barker "had done nothing".
"We had groups of boys coming in at different stages, undressed or undressing, and asking to buy tickets. It was part of their treasure hunt," she said.
"The reason we're so upset is because we've built up a reputation for this place being secure and safe. Having nude boys in the foyer is really not what we want."
The incident on September 21 was reported to police but Barker's headmaster, Roderic Kefford, said the cinema had refused to release the security video so the boys could be identified.
"We still haven't had the opportunity to view the videotape. The theatre turned the matter over to their lawyers late last week."
Dr Kefford said if the boys were from Barker they would be treated in a similar manner to the Waverley College schoolboys who last week went on a drunken rampage at Bondi Beach, causing $80,000 worth of damage.
"If they're prepared to jeopardise the school's reputation I'd have no hesitation in jeopardising theirs," Dr Kefford said.
Five Waverley College schoolboys have been charged with violent disorder and malicious damage.
They were expelled from the school and will be banned from sitting their Higher School Certificate there.
