In Space News, the US's first water landing in 45 years of a crewed vessel occurred yesterday. SpaceX's Crew Dragon capsuled returned Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley to Earth in an absolutely flawless performance.
In less appealing news, Rene Carpenter, the ex-wife of Mercury astronaut Scott carpenter, died last Friday. She was 92. Rene was a science writer, founding member fo the "Astronaut Wives Club", covered many of the space race high points for TV, and active in politics.
