JWST Launched
After many delays, the James Webb Space Telescope is up in orbit:

A great achievement, but there's still a ways to go before its operational.

After it's open we can take a deep breath for the next major chapter of human awareness.

And the follow-up is that the James Webb Space Telescope has fully deployed its sun shields, and is completely functional. So far, the mission has gone so well that extra fuel planned for having to adjust positioning can instead be used to extend the service life of the telescope.

:) ... must be ... I've looked at pictures of earth from space and turned them over and saw nothing but the backside of the photo. Awfully thin, too. :D
