Can't wait! Hopefully won't be dissapointed.

BlueSwede 05-13-2003 08:12 AM

Absolutely! If I had to choose one film that I'd say was my favorite film of all time, it'd be the Matrix. So...I have high hopes for this one. :)

blastpdb 05-13-2003 08:12 AM

Can not wait to see it. I also hope it's not a dissapointment. With all the hipe going on.

Scarlett 05-13-2003 09:37 AM

skipthisone 05-13-2003 04:02 PM

Sorry Lix...it aint Gump...;)

LixyChick 05-13-2003 04:06 PM

Um.........???!!!!!

Is it so bad to want to see a movie inna theater once every....say....decadeish?

*wonders what I did that was so wrong when I went to see "Gump"?*

skipthisone 05-13-2003 04:15 PM

I believe it is our fate to be here. It is our destiny. I believe this night holds, for each and every one of us, the very meaning of our lives. This is a war and we are soldiers. What if tomorrow the war could be over? Isn't that worth fighting for? Isn't that worth dying for?

LixyChick 05-13-2003 04:18 PM

Waaaaaaa! I wanna see it to!

*tries to remember that whining isn't all that becoming*

Nice Guy 05-13-2003 04:50 PM

I am so there.

Scarecrow 05-13-2003 05:01 PM

Lilith 05-13-2003 07:12 PM

I am holding my tix for Thurday night!!!!!!!!

dicksbro 05-13-2003 07:21 PM

I'm going to let the crowds thin ... then my wife and I will go.

Tomorrow's our big day! 43rd meeting anniversary, so we'll do the dinner thing and find some other ways to entertain ourselves.

Oh, yeah, met on a blind date and it stuck. She musta been blind and I was her date. No seriously, we did meet on a blind date and went to a movie. Hmmmm. Maybe we do need to go. :D

don73153 05-13-2003 07:29 PM

Yep, my daughter is taking me. :) Since all the women around here are skeered of a real man!

Hey Aqua, how do you see it on the 14th when it's released on the 15th? You special or something?

Lilith 05-13-2003 07:57 PM

First show is 10 pm on the 14th here too!

Valerieks626 05-13-2003 11:43 PM

Most definately...I wasn't going to be ob a beach in Mexico, I'd be there opening night!! I plan on going the day I get back!! I'm thinking of dressing all in black leather for the occasion!

LixyChick 05-14-2003 03:31 PM

Heard some really good things about this movie on TV today, from those who got a pre-screening yesterday! Also....and hope this isn't ruining anything....but the love story is intensified in this one. I'm sure that doesn't mean "chick flick" though....not from the trailers I saw! I so wish I were going too! Someone call my house and tell hubby he's won tickets and has to use them tonight or lose them! TeeHee! If it were only that easy. He's shown an interest.......but he still hasn't taken my hints. And.......he still doesn't think I should go with a date (only know a few guys who are going and none of my girlfriends want to go).....since we're married now and all. I'd like to see, on that marriage license, where it says I can't date anymore!

Well.......have a great time tonight ya'll! And if you can stand it.....don't tell me EVERYTHING about it. I still might have a chance before it comes out on video!

Murphy 05-14-2003 03:43 PM

waaaaaaaa!!!! I can't go either! broke, working that night, AND the kid's sick! Guess I gotta wait 3 mos for the Video like last time...

BlondeCurlGirl 05-14-2003 04:28 PM

I really want to go as well, but I've got a mountain of things to get done before graduation...I will be going out Thursday night for a celebratory graduation dinner, but alas not to TMR...once things slow down at my place, I think I'll be taking my kid brother.

skipthisone 05-14-2003 08:31 PM

Changing your title to bastard till I get to go on Friday.

Santiago 05-15-2003 12:53 AM

i saw it tonight. i thought it rocked, but i am somewhat confused by the movie...if anyone else has seen it PM me

dadaist 05-15-2003 12:55 AM

I JUST heard my brother come home from a 10 pm showing.
No spoilers, PLEASE.

But, was there any signifigant reason to do a 10 pm "night before" showing instead of midnight (as with say, Star Wars, LOTR, etc).

skipthisone 05-15-2003 07:14 AM

They call it an "Anticipation Move Up" dadaist....They do that when they see the potential for moving it up a day or in this case 2 hours of doing a few million more in ticket sales. The most famous of this that I can remember was Independence Day...It ended up opening 2 days early....

dicksbro 05-15-2003 09:16 AM

Didn't get to go ... was it a thumbs up or a thumbs down?

Let see the movies say thumbs up is good but the Romans said thumbs down was good. Dang. Still won't know. :(

Aqua 05-15-2003 02:19 PM

I loved it. Eros had some valid points in my albino thread.. they could have done a bit more intoduction to new characters but overall I think the film was great. I want to see it again this weekend if possible.

BigDanRTW 05-15-2003 07:20 PM

I went to see it last night (thursday) im in the minority because I only thought the first film was ok, but this one in my opinion kicked MAJOR ASS! The special effects topped the first film which is hard to believe, the story was a bit confusing at times and one part REALLY confused me because they cut it together quickly because the film was running long. On a scale of 1 to 10 i would give it a 12

Eros 05-15-2003 10:03 PM

Aqua, my main beef, other than the character thing, was that when Neo is talking to the Architect....some of that conversation was either over my head, or I wasn't paying enough attention (had a bad headache when I went.) I understood alot of it..but some of it seemed like gibberish to me. Any ideas?

Lilith 05-15-2003 11:03 PM

Eros~ I just returned and the architect part has me thrown off too. The world is created, man has free will, and his free will affects all of the world??????

Or was it just a ploy to sell TVs?????????????????

Santiago 05-15-2003 11:56 PM

i dont care about the architect part, what part got me was when they stepped off the ship and the sentinels came...etc etc.

dont want to blow the movie for those that havent seen it, but if anyone knows why that happened then PM me.

ps: it rocked my socks

hitachi 05-16-2003 12:55 AM

Just got back from seeing it, I thought it kick ass and was a worthy sequel to the first one. The architect part I kind of got it hits off a small part from the first one. Where agent smith is talking with morpheus and tells him the first matrix created, was to perfect and that the human mind rebelled against it. But that was the only part of the whole scene that I recognized. What blew my mind was the discovery about the origin of the oracle. At least now we know why she knows what is going to happen before it does.

Scarlett 05-16-2003 07:39 AM

We plan to go tonight and I will pay special attention to the architect part :D

skipthisone 05-16-2003 07:41 AM

*runs through thread with hands over ears and singing loudly*

Cheyanne 05-16-2003 08:01 AM

*joins skip running through thread*

Scarecrow 05-16-2003 06:37 PM

Scarlett 05-17-2003 10:11 AM
