wyndhy 02-16-2007 10:01 PM

Oldfart 02-16-2007 10:03 PM

I'll take August as the representative sample.

Lilith 02-16-2007 10:09 PM

What do you think they would have done if we had jumped in and started to make out in the backseat of Lincoln's hearse??

Oldfart 02-16-2007 10:15 PM

IAKaraokeGirl 02-16-2007 10:49 PM

My kids think I make the best pizza in the world. In fact, when they returned from being away most of the summer, they wanted my pizza every night for about three weeks straight.

wyndhy 02-16-2007 10:56 PM

it's pronounced that way here, OF...we just spell it stoopid.:p

what's your pizza, IAKG?

Neige 02-16-2007 10:57 PM

Oh, I have very picky children, so it's simply half cheese and half pepperoni. Go figure. And I even use store-bought dough. I bake the dough a bit on my pizza stone before taking it back out of the oven, then I put on just plain pizza sauce (but not too much). I sprinkle a little garlic salt on, then shake on a fair amount of parmesean/romano cheese. I use mozzerella/cheddar blend for the "main" cheese, then add the pepperoni.

I *still* haven't figured out the attraction. But they eat it, so I can't complain. :)

IowaMan 02-16-2007 11:12 PM

Contadina brand pizza sauce works best for me. Just a little drizzle of olive oil on the crust before you put the toppings on too. ;)

sodaklostsoul 02-16-2007 11:32 PM

Something.

Lilith 02-16-2007 11:39 PM

Actually, that's the brand I use. :) I don't do the olive oil thing, although I DO use butter-flavored cooking spray on the pizza stone AND my rolling pin, so there's a butter flavor to the crust.

Neige 02-16-2007 11:47 PM

I've never seen that brand here - must be a US thing. I use Gatusso brand pizza sauce and I could eat it by the spoonful it's so good.

I'm thinking we need to send her some sauce, IowaMan!

Neige 02-16-2007 11:57 PM

Ohhhhhhhhh a squeeze bottle! I've never seen pizza sauce in a squeeze bottle! It only comes in cans here!

And I think that sauce sounds like a good idea! :D:D:D

National Guard didn't get there till later on Thursday. Governor Rendell is really pissed off that nobody contacted him til late Thursday. He takes full responsibility and says he's looking into the communication breakdown and how to fix it so this kind of thing never happens again! D.O.T. is being called out for letting this happen. Gov. Rendell used to be mayor of Philly and he's really a pretty cool guy. He'll have the heads of those responsible for this!

Lilith 02-17-2007 02:38 PM

Godiva ice cream makes me cream.

Pita 02-17-2007 03:50 PM

I'm really nervous about this event I have to go to tonight.

I can't believe this one got past me last night. :spin:

So, how much sauce would you like for us to send you PixieSprite? :D

Oldfart 02-17-2007 08:19 PM

Long ago and far away when I worked for Pizza Hut (between jobs) we used to sprinkle sugar on a small pizza base, cook it in the oven, then eat with ice-cream.

Yeah, I was wondering where you were on this one. :D

OF, "dessert pizzas" have become fairly big here in the US in the last couple of years.

Chew them up and spit them out! :D

Or just use a hammer!

sodaklostsoul 02-18-2007 12:02 AM

Ziplock bag and a hammer.

scotzoidman 02-18-2007 12:04 AM

The Gateway Bridge here in town freezes up real fast, & it's kinda fun to watch the news videos of cars spinning around...as long as nobody gets hurt...

I wish I'd have thought of that before I spent 3209482059853 minutes using the end of my rolling pin and a bowl.

I'm not even going to acknowledge Coaster's post. ;)

Oldfart 02-18-2007 12:17 AM

IAKG

Stick them in the freezer first, makes them stiffer and more likely to break rather than just deform.

IAKaraokeGirl 02-18-2007 12:21 AM

Man, where were you people an hour ago? :D

That'll teach me to try *anything* before checking with my Pixies experts. ;)

sodaklostsoul 02-18-2007 12:39 AM

Geez, good idea Oldfart.....Oh, I learned something today. :D
